Robbie Gaffney is a 25-year graduate of the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design.He works in oil and collage on various surfaces, among them old newspaper and telephone directory pages. At its core the work is portrait-based with a bold expressionist line. His subjects are often harrowed and contorted, sparsely defined against the background on which they are painted.

This exciting young artist held his debut solo exhibition at The Molesworth Gallery in January/Febriuary, 2008.
