PADRAIG MacMIADHACHAIN Padraig MacMiadhachain graduated from the Belfast College of Art in
mid-1950s and is one of the few surviving artists from that remarkable
group that emerged from Ulster in the second half of the Twentieth Century,
such as Daniel O'Neill, William Scott and Louis le Brocquy. Like them,
he was a regular exhibitor in the Irish Exhibitions of Living Art in
the 1960s which helped establish the careers of a generation of Irish
